Thinking you can do it all by memory – coyote is tricking you with the greatest joke of all. It is our ego that demands the belief we can recall every fact without coloring or redacting. Our past selves color our perception and memories clouding details that could lead to healing or change. The ego wants static reality not change. When change comes our ego looks for methods to stop the change or to subvert it with old habit patterns limiting the amount of time or life force we are able to invest into our selves.
A well defined path requires us to journal our evolution and co-creative moments with the divine working within us. Continuing on a path were you do not record your self is the essence of self-deception. This is the ego at work. It’s the job of the ego to impose limits and redact memories. The self-healing path confronts the ego so we do not limit our selves when healing is necessary. Self-healing requires a time of forgiving. Accepting we can change – then acting with real integrity to change, knowing that parts of us will be in conflict with that new way of being.
Dealing with the covert motives of ego means you have to confront habit patterns demeaning your healing process. The use of drugs, jealousy, hatred, and victim mentality are habit patterns needed to be dealt with one by one. Each repetitive habit pattern must have a healing time in internal meditative dialog helping us understand why these habits return even when our highest intent is to heal. We need to continually remember healing is a process not an event. It requires us to let go of pain, heartache and despair. It requires us to relearn the process of loving our self unconditionally.
Habit patterns have changed dramatically in the last decade, one can barely recount all of the changes in one sitting. Cell phones and all the extended ways of communicating and conversing with cultures world-wide have limited our connection to mother earth. All these new tangible and intangible things weigh down the human spirit, defusing the earth mother’s energies with our desires before our needs. When our needs are not understood on a primal connective level with the place we live in – a separation begins to take hold and separation pro-creates an uneasiness that eventually devolves the human spirit into a distilled human essence trying to figure out what is real and what is not. This unending process continually breaks earth mother’s link to her children and grandchildren.
Consider this, growing up child who has left the nest/ home of their parents. It no longer talks or writes to their parents. Long separations continue until a longing for home returns to the now adult mind of the child who left long ago. Spirituality is the effective result when we desire then to develop a need to return home. This home is our true authentic self. It blesses our life path with wisdom.
Accepting this understanding of the self is expressed in many religions around the world. No one path is the only way. No one path of spiritual expression is the direct link to the divine or creative force in earth mother’s realm. Not even earth mother herself is the full force of spiritual expression. Every one of us are a force of free will.
Faith is our direct link to the Universal Wisdom. Faith reminds us that we know more than we have heard or read or studied. Faith reminds us we have only to look, listen, and trust the love and wisdom of the Universal Spirit working through us all. Faith does not require a belief in a religion – only by learning to trust the love, and intelligence, working through you and all creation. This new found trust will transform your perception and experience. You will find lessons and opportunities in every challenge. No matter what we feel or know, no matter what our potential gifts or talents are. Only action brings them to life.
Many of us understand concepts such as commitment, courage and love, but we truly know only that which we do. Doing leads to understanding and action turns our knowledge into wisdom. Action teaches us to overcome both inertia and impatience by acting on our courage, clear intentions, and commitment. Every action or inaction contains the seeds of its opposite. There is a time for action and the action of inaction.
The way of the two legged has come to a generational jump in wisdom once again. Every human incarnating in this world has a great journey ahead of them. The next leap into evolution is similar to the process of returning home to a sacred space within each of us. This is a time of new found innocence interacting with all living things.
